About this site
Hey, I'm Joe.
Just your friendly neighborhood IT guy — brewing ideas, fixing things that break, and building cool tech along the way.
By day, I manage the IT backbone of a retail company, making sure our HQ and store networks stay online, secure, and humming along. From wrangling servers to smoothing out software issues, I keep the digital engine running — even when tech throws one of its infamous tantrums.
What that means in practice:
- Overseeing and maintaining IT infrastructure across HQ and multiple retail stores
- Deploying and managing Windows upgrades and system rollouts
- Ensuring secure data flows and backups (including store-side safe and cash operations)
- Keeping backend systems stable and resilient for everyone, from finance to sales
By night (or whenever the coffee kicks in), I jump into my home lab to get hands-on with:
- 🖥️ Linux servers & Proxmox VM environments
- 🧠 Home automation with Home Assistant
- 🐳 Docker containers and self-hosted web apps
- 🌐 Captive portals and DIY internet projects
- 🔐 NAS setups, backups, and remote access
My playground includes:
- A self-built home lab with automated backups, VMs, and monitoring
- Online projects like Safaura, my cozy little store
- Captive WiFi portal systems for small businesses
- Custom Ghost CMS setups with Indonesian payment gateways
- A fully segmented multi-location network across family homes
- Proxmox-powered experiments — from AI services to streaming nodes
Beyond the terminal?
You'll probably find me:
- 🎮 Gaming & Live Streaming
- ☕ Brewing another cup of strong black coffee
- 🧠 Learning something new about open-source tools
- 💡 Dreaming up a new side project
I love connecting with fellow makers, sysadmins, devs, and tech tinkerers. Whether you're into home labs, open-source, digital minimalism, or just trying to make sense of your own stack — I'm always down to chat.
Let's connect and build something awesome — one idea (and one coffee) at a time.
